Our vision is to respond to the physical, social, emotional, and spiritual needs of the youth worldwide by providing relative guidance, that will allow them to build a strong foundation of faith to; express and share themselves through their own words, actions, and deeds; encouraging them to use their individual talents, nurture their growth as life-long learners, and launch them into the world prepared for life, relationship, service, and leadership.

At COGYU we strive to steer young men and women caught in the net of homelessness and addiction into lives of purpose and belonging. Promoting wholesome recovery, we will include you in every step we take, ensuring that you receive a clear understanding of God's grace, in how He holds the tension between respecting your God-given free will; while ensuring that you receive the invitation to come and see, to follow, to accept the gift of faith, and open your hearts to welcome His lordship in your lives.

The COG disciples Youth Upliftment and Empowerment center is a faith based recovery organization, appropriately built on a vision. We envision the eminent domain, and supreme lordship of Jesus Christ. While that reality might be a ways off, it's probably not a surprise to notice that the world's way doesn't give us any affirmation. Nor is it a surprise to know that the world's way isn't God's way. Jesus reveals the love, dignity and respect in which God holds each precious life. Our passion for ministry and recovery of young lives, speak to our core values and the inherent responsibilities given to us at Calvary.

That doesn't mean that God condones poor choices or bad behavior without holding us accountable.

OUR STORY

Based in the US and Canada, COGYU grew out of a small group of Christian believers who shared a common conviction about discipleship. We had our earlier Christian life experience living in the Caribbean. Nevertheless been cognizant of the eminent return of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ; and the weight of responsibility placed on us at our calling; we are committed to the global need for youth restoration.

WHAT WE DO

Based in parts of the US and Canada, COGYU provides suitable shelter, a drop-in resource center, temporary supportive housing, and individualized restoration counseling and supports for young people aged 15–24. We work collaboratively within a network of care focused on the prevention of youth homelessness by providing youth with the necessary supports to stabilize their housing, improve their wellbeing, build life skills, connect with community, and avoid re-entry into homelessness.
